Lyrics

Today, I set aside the time to do some wandering Up and down, throughout the garden of all my hopes and dreams But as I look around at who I wanted to be I'm surprised by what I've found here inside of me I had tilled the soil, planted the seeds; I gave each bed a name Then I'd sat down to watch the sky, but the rainfall never came And this did not turn out like I thought it would be And it has made me doubt my security This path has led me to the end of the season And my steps are heavy with the weight that I'm feeling But instead of sitting down to cry, I think that I Will begin to sing Oh no, this was not the harvest that I had planned to reap But the very definition of growth does not exclude these weeds And so I think it's time for some composting Let's see what I can find with repurposing No, I can't burn these weeds cause of my emotions I wouldn't be complete if I didn't have them And this same path has led me to the start of a season Where I'm not fretting over questions or reasons And instead of sitting down to cry, I think that I Will begin to sing Will begin to sing Will begin to sing Will begin to sing Will begin to sing
