The brush descends the length of intervals bookended with eyes ajar in name

But name falls pitifully on its pride

Distended time

Arthritic rhyme

The brush dessicates

Names tenuous where shade casts die

How to remember thirst?

How to enunciate hunger?

A market untapped (nice work if you can get it)

Now the shadow

Of the column

Divides air in two

Drives a stake through you
