Scars on my hands From crawling through the dunes of time Skin dry as sand Scars that will be mine til I reach my end They build a pathway For every lucid dream Sand turned to ashes Convinced me to believe I am nothing and I will always be Someday I'll be gone into a mortal memory With a wish for rebirth Red eyes Attempting to read the future pouring out the past Thin spine Bending to gravity's will The weight of a life And through the darkness I tried to pretend I was light It doesn't matter Since I cannot conceal How I look on the outside I am nothing and I will always be Someday I'll be gone into a mortal memory With a wish for rebirth Finally ashes will turn into stars Their light will carry my conscience and fears Shining upon a stream of past lives Constellations leading to a new world Rising new moon of an old soul At last I am something and I will always be Someday I'll find myself in someone else's memory Unaware I am reborn Through my new breathing mind That will long for rebirth
