Time Ain't on My Side

I waited at the boarder line,

Between the 2 and 89,

With nervous thoughts it felt alright.

I met you at the borderline.

I was sure I saw you from a mile,

My heart beating on and off in time.

And ya know that time ain’t on my side right now, and I need someone.

And It’s dark outside and in my heart, I’ve been struggling.

Thinking of all those that I have loved and hurt all at once.

I should go back and try to mend some.

I had to let that dove go fluttering.

We were fixing for some trouble mmmm.
