Mexico

This morning I woke up I had a melody in mind Felt like I should sing it but I wouldn't call it mine And then I'll make you coffee, And then I'll make you plans, Then the song slips away Like water through my hands. The last thing I remember is Is the silence taking hold I'm in and out of dreams, I'm spinning way out of control: You gave me something beautiful, You gave me something true I try to make it mine; Somehow I'm just not getting through. I used to have designs to make The whole world know my name, Was too close to the heat, I watched it all go up in flames, Gave me something beautiful Gave me something true I'm finding a way to complicate it Like I always do.
