About Brett Mitchell
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember playing my first few notes on a piano at my aunt and uncle's house at around age 3 and thinking that the high notes sounded like the Three Little Pigs while the low notes sounded like the Big Bad Wolf!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Williams, Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) Soundtrack from the Motion Picture John Williams, London Symphony Orchestra, Superman: The Movie (Soundtrack from the Motion Picture) [Deluxe] The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Time Out (50th Anniversary Legacy Edition) Film scores and jazz form the core of my musical DNA at the piano, and these three albums—two by John Williams, one by Dave Brubeck—are a perfect encapsulation of everything I love about both genres.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “'Saying Goodbye' from 'E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial'” The only movie I ever saw in the theatre with my grandparents was E.T. back in 1982. John Williams's Oscar-winning score has been a huge part of my life ever since, and I couldn't think of a more appropriate first single to release on Apple Music.
