I took a pilgrimage to the British Museum

Seems I'm a tourist in this town, now I'm set to leave

Not much of a connoisseur, I always struggle to see

Past the first impressions, the sheer weight of history

But today somehow it all came alive

I could feel every brush stroke, each chip of the carving knife

A babbling river of voices I heard

Even if I didn't understand the words

That hunch in the shoulders, where did you learn that fear?

It's the apology of a whisper I strain to hear

I remember that chocolate cake, those kind, sad eyes

Baking it over and over, but you'd never take a slice

But there in that place your eyes shine bright

You're a fountain of wisdom, you're flushed with pride
