Restless, too many people I just don't want to meet

Reckless, there's a heavy struggle going down on the street

I've been thinking, you know it brings me down

Sinking, I've been going under and I don't want to drown

All those love-biting groupies seem to do all right

When you see them in the movies always good for a fight

When you meet them on the street they're gonna give you a fright

They'll scare the shit right out of you

And make you stay awake all night

Getting reckless, sick of running when there's no place to go

Got no show, ain't got a penny to my name

No emotion, I've never had a woman, didn't drive me insane

All those beatniks in the '60s seemed to do OK

When you see them in the movies always good for a lay

When you meet them on the street they're gonna make you pay

Getting reckless, ain't going nowhere and it's worrying me

So bad, I just can't get away

So sad, if I don't get to moving I'll be wasting the day

All those groupies in the movies seem to do just fine

When you see them on the screen they always shoot you a line

When you meet them in the flesh it's just a waste of time
