Long story short we met at a bar

I was sippin a drink as the cover

band played their guitars to some George Strait

it was getting late so i figured id leave

Then she walked in at one a.m.

 With two of her friends

 They ordered three shots of Daniel's

 And that's when I caught wind

 Of that Georgia peach makin' eyes at me

 Long story short, I worked up the nerve

 To walk up to her

 And said, baby girl, would you like to dance?

 And she said yes and took my hand

 That's when it all began

 Then the road started spinnin' like tunnel vision

 At the end was a lonely blue neon light

 I was wishin' that dance floor kissin'

 Would last longer than one night

 I was fallin', but she was callin' a cab

 To take her home
