Sunlight

This morning I woke with the sunrise

With a brand new heart and a thirst for light

I could finally see all the colors

I hadn’t seen in a year or two

And every dark curse I had lived with

Every ghost that shared my bed was gone and I could breathe again

Now that I can feel the warm sunlight

I won’t waste time in the shade of the hollows
