Buried by the Blackest Sand

A lonely tree

Reaches above these walls

Of shattered homes

Echoes are whispering through their abandoned halls

Telling tragic tales of their dreadful past

An empty house

That used to be

A place of safety and retreat

For the longest time

Until now

It was swallowed in a wave of fire

Burning everything with raging ire

I can still hear

Their silent whispers

Yet I’m aware

They are forever gone

We are doomed to walk the earth

On this barren land

We are forced to die alone

Buried by the blackest sand

Long forgotten spirits

Ripped out of this world

Still they are hunting

This once sacred place

That in a second turned into a burning grave

And buried all the traces they left

I can still feel

Their lurking presence

Yet I know

They are lost forever

We are doomed to walk the earth

On this barren land

We are forced to die alone

Buried by the blackest sand

Burned down ruins

Total cataclysm

Nothing left

But scorched earth

They lived their lives in arrogance, no fear of death

And for the longest time they ruled the lands

They forged their fate and they all felt

Invincible, untouchable, but power is deceptive

It just takes a second for your downfall to seal your fate
