They platted a crown of thorns, and put it about His head,

they mocked Him, they spat upon Him,

they smote Him with a reed, they crucified Him.

The Apostles and the Holy Women:

They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness

unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done this.

Mystic Chorus:

'Now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to Thee.'

The kingdom is the Lord's: and He is the Governor among the nations.

Mystic Chorus:

From henceforth shall the Son of Man be seated at the right hand of the power of God.

In His love and in His pity He redeemed them.
