Getting up with the chickens, brewing coffee in the kitchen

House needs a picking up, the dogs needs a little love

Shave my legs, out the door, traffic jam I can't afford

To get to work late again, hope I catch a second wind

Dead-dog tired, giving more than I'm getting

Boss keeps a-screaming, the phone won't stop a-ringing

Working like a farm truck, but nothing's ever good enough

Gotta get some me time, don't need another frown line

I'd Johnny Paycheck 'em fast, but Lord knows I need the cash

Hands on the clock are barely even ticking

Well, as nice as all of that sounds, somebody's gotta get the job done

I got bills that need paying, got mouths that need fed

All my time's getting taken, sure to be nothing left

Changing lanes, driving 80, gotta pick up the babies

Get the supper on the stove, boil the beans, heat the rolls

Bow your head, thank the Lord, fold the clothes, sweep the floor

Tuck 'em in, turn out the light, yeah, maybe tomorrow night

We'll find a little time for some hugging and some kissing
