Down in the peaceful valley, somewhere in the endless green

There is a Red-breasted nuthatch and it begins to sing

There is no-one there to hear it, but it’s singing all the same

Existence is existence whether or not it’s named

All of God’s creation is all of Her sensation

Her body is a beauty to behold

So please don’t try to tame Her, by god don’t try to claim Her

For She is neither young nor is She old

And we are atoms adrift in the atmosphere

Beneath the silver ceiling and the crystal chandelier

One hundred and sixteen hertz, bass note in a B flat chord

Wave on a sonic ocean, whether heard or ignored

The hummingbird is hovering, held in hues of garden gold

Nothing’s neither young nor is it old

Nothing is forever, everything remains

It is static in a state of constant change
