Never Smelt the Roses

Take me down the road I know,

Where we wandered long ago

When we were young and yet to know

The road that lay before us.

When I a young man in my prime,

I never seemed to have the time

To tell you of the way I felt

And quickly moves the sands of time

Now there are no hills to climb

I never got to know your mind

And never smelt the roses

Working time and sleeping time
