Why Am I Here?

Fighting through the darkness in my life

Why am I here? 2020 had me thinking

All this loss of life, got my anxiety peaking

300k Covid - 19 tryna break even

I always pray to God can’t end up forever sleeping

Control I’m keeping on my life

As I swim through the deep end

Crying rivers

but it’s joy the only time I’m weeping

Cause even know I struggle forward

I know win’s around the corner

So I trust the timings perfect

Let that piano hit

Lie awake night, afraid of failure, fraid of losing it

Thoughts racing through my mind

I toss and turn like lunatic

Cannot turn to pills I’m too nervous

RIP to Juice I miss

Guess I gotta go succeed

Lock in and just find the grit

Cause I know I got a purpose

God done put me on this earth so I ain’t worthless

I know I can get discouraged when I’m hurting

But I keep my head high far from the surface.

Now that flame is lit inside

Why Am I here?

Hope I find out ’21

New year, new me, what I can become?

Something great, I’ll be straight

Get my pockets overweight

Cop a jet go state to state

I’ll dream it to its real

And the snakes congratulate

But they filled with hate

Some people I thought were my people

Showed me they fake

Talking bad about me but they smiling in my face

Tell em no one night

Then they won’t give you time of day

But man it’s okay

Glad I peeped it now

Cause when I’m up

Ima need my bros to hold it down

Vibes gotta stay good, in the hood

Make the world a way way better place
