I dropped my eyes on a body left to freeze

I saw the watchman fall to his hands and knees

My silhouette on a cold and hazy night

Did he have to die

I'm unwilling to explain so I run in the cold cold rain

Couldn't bring myself to write a note

I didn't know if I should cry for home

And I had no damn hand to hold

But did I just let a man die alone

He stared at me well he looked death in the eye

His time was up he had met the end of my knife

Hands cross my chest then I looked up to the sky
