I saw a band, an awesome band

In a garage on the corner of Florida Ave and 16th Street

In the northwest quadrant of the city on the westbound belt

But when I left the show I could not find my wallet

They were doing keg stands, incredible keg stands

At a house party on Delaware between 45th and 46th

In the southeast quadrant of the city on the northbound spur

But when I left the party I could not find my keys

I stumbled upon a convenience mart, a well lit convenience mart

On the corner of Jersey Ave and 110th Street

In the northeast quadrant of the city on the southbound spur

But man, they were all closed up for the night

I met a girl, a girl going somewhere

Walking down 86th street towards Virginia Avenue

In the southwest quadrant of the city on the eastbound belt

But she was like "loser, please"

This all happened in the northeast quadrant in the southbound lane

Near the corners of Jefferson and Jackson, around 70th and Main,

On the westbound spur connecting with the circular belt

Intersecting with angular grids and diagonal avenues
