You were my heart flower, my poetry, my song

Just one look at you and then I knew on that day

Serendipity smiled down on me

Time flew by swiftly life was filled with dance and song

But it wasn't long before I learned on that day

You don't get to call the shots that way

I still think about the possibility of love

I see reflections of that moment now from that day

Just a fleeting glimpse that will not stay
