On our way past vats

The scenery soothes me

On our way to the knob corner

To live among the beavers in the morn

Daniel translated, she said, "Got it."

When I walked outside, I saw a snowman

I said, "Man, I gotta get a photo of that!"

When I walked back along the ice to the van

Shavik said, "Let's go, Marlboro," I said, "Okay man."

We got to the studio, they started setting up

While I went to my room and kept my mouth shut

I started feeling drowsy, I was falling asleep

Until I heard this—a doctor from B

And this guitar string skipping

And the judo in the QV black

I looked outside—it was dark

I heard the spookiest sound, I said, "What's that?"

They said, "Mom, that's a pack of wolves."

I said, "I don't hear that sound in the California hills."

I said, "Guys, it's been a long day

Do you mind taking it from here?"

Shavik said, "Wait a minute, mom, let me finish my beat

Those wolf sounds you were making kinda hurt my ear."

Ben asked, "Mom, what do you think we should do?"

I said, "I don't know, you're the band, whatever you guys want to do."

Ben said, "How about Victor playing a solo?

Or I can do it on piano?"

Shavik said, "No."

I said, "Okay, Shavik, how about you?"

He said, "Let's do it," and picked up his bass

I went upstairs to brush my teeth

The studio cat was in a deep sleep

I thought, "Oh my God, that's the idea."

But I can't shut my mind, so I came back down here

To add another verse, 'cause the song sounds incomplete

Shavik said, "Okay, Mark, that's enough now—get some sleep."

I said, "Wait a minute, I wanna do one last thing."

And just when I said that, the wolves started howling again
