Where I'm from every summer night feels like a Friday

Where I'm from every winter day feels like a Monday

Where I'm from you work real hard to feed the ones you love

You can bet on that, I'm damn sure proud of where I'm from

I was born and raised outside of a little town

Where the bucks get shot and the cold beers go down

I spend most my days slaving in the sun

Might not sound cool, but I sure love it back where I'm from

My favourite meals get cooked on an open fire

If somethings broke we can fix it with some duct tape, or some old haywire

A little redneck and hillbilly's just how we come

Yeah that's right, that's how they raise em back where I'm from

My mamma and daddy they raised us up right

That didn't come without our fair share of fights

But when the sun fades I thank the lord above

That my family's roots are stuck in the in the ground back where I'm from
