I don't wanna leave you feeling all alone

But I don't wanna weigh you down and sink you like a stone

I don't wanna keep you if you don't wanna stay

I just wanna give to you and never take away

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

No, I won't distract you from what you're doing now

So keep me in the loop only if you want to

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

I'm your solid ground

I don't wanna add to everything else

I just wanna give you room so you can be yourself

If times are too heavy, your arms are feeling weak

You don't have to say a word, I'll be there before you speak

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

No, I won't distract you from what you're doing now

So keep me in the loop only if you want to

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

I'm your solid ground

Let me be your light when you long for the shore

I'm here to guide you back to where you were before

And when we are apart, you're always on my mind

So don't you worry, dear, I'm not the leaving kind

Let me be your light when you long for the shore

I'm here to guide you back to where you were before

And when we are apart, you're always on my mind

So don't you worry, dear, I'm not the leaving kind

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

No, I won't distract you from what you're doing now

So keep me in the loop only if you want to

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

No, I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

No, I won't distract you from what you're doing now

So keep me in the loop only if you want to

I don't wanna hold you back, hold you up, slow you down

I'm your solid ground
