Artist Biography
Country and pop singer, B.J. Thomas scored his first success with a cover of Hank Williams’s "I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry," which reached number eight on the Billboard singles chart. Thomas returned to the Top 10 with "Hooked On A Feeling" in 1968, and topped the charts the following year with "Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head," from the movie BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. Thomas scored another number one with the country crossover hit “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song” in 1975. The versatile Thomas also recorded a number of gospel-inspired albums in the 1980s, and would remain primarily a Christian crossover artist for the rest of his career.
