Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up with a lot of good music at home. I was born in Colorado and raised in Minnesota, so I heard cowboy and Western music, as well as Midwestern and Scandinavian. I got my start as a street musician in Dinkytown and the West Bank of Minneapolis
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, The Bootleg Series, Vols. 1-3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961-1991 Koerner, Ray & Glover, Blues, Rags and Hollers Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Ramblin' Jack Elliott Sings Woody Guthrie and Jimmie Rodgers and Cowboy Songs I listened to a lot of music in the early 2000s when I was living in Dinkytown. I was definitely influenced by Bob Dylan's earliest recordings, as well as Jack Eliliot, Woody Guthrie, Spider John Koerner, and The Anthology of American Folk Music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've been fortunate to tour as a musician and meet so many of my heroes like Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, and Ramblin' Jack. I've had the good fortune of playing SXSW, The Bristol Rhythm and Roots, and Tanned Tin in Spain. The memories flow together!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Ultimately, I would just like to continue performing and playing music with kind people!
