Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first musical memories was having little jam sessions with my dad and watching him do his thing with other creatives from the city. I'd go into the basement and say "turn on the mic daddy", as he played his drums and I'd just say anything.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, Dangerously in Love J. Cole, 4 Your Eyez Only Jill Scott, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1 Bey's first album is a big reason I even wanted to get into music as a kid, I've loved her since. Jill played a big role in shaping my vibe, I came out the womb listening to this album. I think that was Cole's best album, it made me want to improve.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Paradise” Paradise felt more like I was just delivering it, not just writing. Most the music I wrote I felt was good, but that song made me feel like I was meant to be walking down this music path. Everything about it boosted my confidence as an artist.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I dropped my first song out on sound-cloud is one of my most memorable moments. I was so nervous about how I would be received but so many was rocking with me and encouraging me to keep going. I think it took a lot of people by surprise.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's a lot on my list that I still desire to do. I'm still only getting started, I know life has so much more to offer and there's so much more I'll be capable of doing as time progresses. One day I'll headline a tour and sell out arenas all over.
