Artist Biography
Jack Lantier, a French singer specializing in standards, began his career in the 1950s. His tenure on the Vogue label extended from the '60s to the '80s and included numerous full-length albums, the bulk of them released during the '70s when Lantier was especially productive. Highlights from his deep back catalog were compiled for reissue in later years on a long line of greatest-hits collections. Among the more notable are Les Plus Belle Chansons Françaises, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (1993), Chansons Pour Noël (1993), and the ten-disc Chansons de Toujours (2008). ~ Jason Birchmeier
