In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
NYC’s Leathered were founded in 2010 as “Crazy Pills” by Korean-American adoptee singer/guitarist Amanda B. Jun - named thusly to reflect and affirm her experiences of “being gaslit [her] entire life”. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The warm reception of their debut album, "Restless" (produced by Psychic TV’s Jeff Berner) and Jun’s dynamic guitar and vocal performance led to slots on the Village Voice 4 Knots Festival and bills with Guitar Wolf, PUP and Marnie Stern. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
In 2022, now with SQÜRL percussionist Carter Logan & rechristened as Leathered, the band released their sophomore full length with Berner, aptly named A Reckoning.
