Artist Biography
The solo project of ex-Delgados member Alun Woodward, Lord Cut-Glass borrows its name from a character in Dylan Thomas’s radio play UNDER MILKWOOD. Slowly evolving for four years since the breakup of the Delgados, Woodward initially took on work on Chemikal Underground label releases--including those of fellow Scots Aidan Moffat and The Phantom Band--making occasional compilation appearances under his new moniker. Originally writing his songs around the notion of forming a band, Woodward himself commandeered the writing, arranging, and performing of most of his 2009 self-titled debut when he was unable to find willing collaborators.
