Artist Biography
R&B singer, songwriter, and producer Marques Houston started out as an adolescent member of Immature/IMx before launching a successful solo career.
• In the early ’90s, Houston co-founded the R&B group Immature (later known as IMx), which released six albums through 2001. During this period, he also launched his acting career, landing a part in the sitcom Sister, Sister.
• Houston went solo in 2003 with the album MH. Led by the singles “That Girl” and “Clubbin,’” featuring Joe Budden and R. Kelly, the album reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200.
• His third album, 2007’s Veteran, hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, a first for Houston.
