Artist Biography
b. 4 May 1955, Winthrop, Massachusetts, USA. In the early 80s the US country singer Robert Ellis Orrall worked with Carlene Carter and then moved to Nashville. He wrote country hits for Mason Dixon (‘When Karen Comes Around’) and Shenandoah (‘Next To You, Next To Me’) and reached the Top 20 himself in 1992 with ‘Boom! It Was Over’. His album, Flying Colors, has a similar pop/country mix to Dr. Hook’s records. In the new millennium he continues to write songs, produce and runs his own record company, Infinity Cat Recordings. Orrall is also a prolific painter.
