Artist Biography
When neo-psychedelic space-rock revivalists Spacemen 3 split up, the two main participants splintered off into two projects, the relatively rock-oriented Spiritualized and the more electronic/experimentally inclined Spectrum. Led by Pete "Sonic Boom" Kember (who also masterminded the even more unconventional Experimental Audio Research), the group combined psychedelia, Krautrock, ambient music, and old-school avant-garde weirdness into a colorful, multitimbral sonic patchwork that reached its apex on 1997's wild-eyed FOREVER ALIEN.
