Subjective's Popular Music Videos
Artist Biography
Borne of their collaboration on Goldie's 2017 comeback album The Journey Man, this experimental ambient duo comprises the drum'n'bass pioneer and James Davidson, a former member of Bournemouth, England's Ulterior Motive. Immediately following sessions for that album, they started working on fresh material, naming their new partnership Subjective. Their first singles, from "Inkolelo" to "Re-Entry," appeared in the second half of 2018. Eventually, the new year brought their debut album, Act 1: Music for Inanimate Objects, a genre-bending record which incorporated glacial ambient atmospheres, toned-down drum'n'bass, mournful strings, and soulful house, making it one of Goldie's most accessible releases. Following late 2021's double-A side "Dassai Menace"/"Fathoms," they issued their second long-player, 2022's The Start of No Regret.
