Roswell, New Mexico, native Susan Graham started the road to her professional career at Texas Tech University, then moved on to the Manhattan School of Music. She won the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and made her debut in 1991. Working her way up through various productions, Graham eventually had a successful run during the 1999-2000 season in three leading roles and several minor roles, which she followed with a world tour. The next season, Graham appeared in multiple operas and an operatic adaptation of the book Dead Man Walking. On top of her busy opera schedule, she has also released numerous recordings, including cast albums and solo records. ~ Bradley Torreano
