Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first memory of music is listening to Popcorn by Hot Butter. I’m standing beside Nan and Pop’s ‘Stereo Sonic’ entertainment deck with black sponge headphones wrapped around my noggin.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boards of Canada, The Campfire Headphase Don Spencer, Feathers, Fur or Fins Roxy Music, Avalon Bryan Ferry appears to me in dreams and helped me write I'm So Post Modern. Boards Of Canada has some of my favourite karaoke go to's. Don Spencer Folk Explosion is my favourite band and I remember when they trashed the set of Play School.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I'm So Post Modern (Album Version)” Name me one other song with 35 verses and no chorus that got in the Triple J's Hottest 100. Maybe 'Man Overboard' by Do Re Mi at a pinch.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was performing at Federation Square during Melbourne International Comedy Festival. There was a purple Comedy Channel star mascot running around. I improvised a song called "let's all push over the comedy channel star." Two teenagers did.
