Artist Biography
Austin, Texas-based the Wind and the Wave comprise the best-friend duo of Dwight Baker and Patricia Lynn, both of whom had prior histories on the Austin music scene before joining forces as a performing act in 2009. Lynn had been a member of the band Soldier Thread, while Baker had been a touring musician who gave up the road in 2003 to concentrate on songwriting and production work, opening his own Matchbox Studios in Austin. After doing production on a couple of Soldier Thread albums, Baker joined forces with Lynn to record a debut duo album, From the Wreckage, a solid folk, country, and pop outing. ~ Steve Leggett
