Artist Biography
Weird War are an experimental post-rock act from Washington D.C. with roots in the 1990s political indie rockers the Make Up. Singer Ian Svenonius (also formerly of Nation of Ulysses), guitarist Alex Minoff, and drummer Michelle Mae originally formed Weird War as a free-floating collective, but after the 2002 debut. I'LL NEVER FORGET WHAT'S HIS NAME, and an odd side-trip where they briefly changed their name to the Scene Creamers (under which they released 2003's I SUCK ON THAT EMOTION), the band reverted to a stable lineup with the addition of Trans Am drummer Sebastian Thompson.
