They're not the first duo to take on disco-driven electro pop, but Chromeo do it more emphatically than most. Formed by Montrealites Dave 1 and P-Thugg, Chromeo made their name in clubs with She's in Control in 2004. Taking years to hone their funk sound between each release, the duo broke out commercially with 2010's Business Casual, an unapologetically cheesy collection of dance floor anthems with a viral lead single. They've since brought in big names to help expand their sound, collaborating with Ezra Koenig, Solange Knowles, and Toro y Moi on 2014's White Women.
