When, during the pandemic, former model Clara Soccini decided to give music a chance, she could hardly imagine the life-changing impact her decision would have. Releasing a stream of vulnerable yet edgy pop cuts—including a trap-inflected collab with Nicola Siciliano—she hit her stride in 2023, playing trapper Crazy J in TV smash Mare Fuori, for which she sang the brooding lament “ORIGAMI ALL’ ALBA”. She then won Sanremo Giovani with the wounded “BOULEVARD”, pondering the absence of a father and laying the ground for the resonant, open-hearted songwriting that would mark her 2024 debut LP PRIMO.
