Consisting of DJ Evil Dee and Mr. Walt, the Bushwick-based Da Beatminerz caught their first break remixing a track by the Ultramagnetic MC's. They used that buzz to bring through a stream of rugged, dusty, and jazz-tinged beats for their Boot Camp Clik family during the '90s. Artists like Nas, KRS-One, and O.C. have also called on their talents—as did British R&B star Mark Morrison.
