Electronic explorers Polo & Pan are Parisian musical nomads par excellence. Their colour-saturated aural feasts juxtapose cosmic pop, cinematic nods to The Wizard of Oz, soothing vocal harmonies, exotic instrumentation and whimsical electro. Their 2017 debut Caravelle saw them sail around the globe with multilingual refrains, sun-bleached Brazilian rhythms and bass-drenched Iberian instrumentals. But there’s also a longing melancholy in singles like “Canopée”, a swaying tropical ballad that takes a step back from the dance floor and seductively retreats into a reverie.
