Since 2008, Adelaide producer Sonny Fodera has been making house music that skates between the nostalgic and the euphoric, a melding of classic "diva" melody and modern flair. The beatmaker released a handful of albums and singles for legendary Chicago house imprint Cajual as well as tracks on his own labels, Beatdown Music and Solotoko. His "Always Gonna Be" is the type of deep-house banger beloved by purists, but Fodera has also been known to work in the chillier arena of tech house on songs like 2019's "The Moment".
