Plumb brought an emotionally fierce alt-rock sound to Christian music with her 1997, self-titled debut album. Over the years, this Indianapolis native made her name with poignant songwriting, a powerful voice and well-sketched lyrics, which straddle the line between the sacred and the secular. She often mixes lush, anthemic praise ballads with chiming riffs and danceable beats, and has co-penned tunes with secular artists like Michelle Branch and Mandy Moore. Her songs have appeared in many mainstream TV shows and films, and her seventh album, Exhale, came out in 2015.
