About boy pablo
The indie-rock act boy pablo is the project of Nicólas Muñoz, who writes, performs, and records all of the band’s music in the studio. The other musicians are touring members of the group who flesh out the songs on guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards.
• Muñoz released boy pablo’s first single, “Flowers,” in January 2016. The group’s first live gig came that April, opening for a band fronted by the brother of Norwegian pop singer Sigrid.
• The band’s breakthrough came in 2017 when boy pablo’s video for the hazy song “Everytime” suddenly went viral, several months after Muñoz first posted it online.
• Along with a smattering of singles, boy pablo has released two EPs, Roy Pablo in 2017 and Soy Pablo in 2018.
• Boy pablo has been nominated for six Norwegian Grammys (Spellemannprisen) and won two, including Best Newcomer in 2018.
Influenced by boy pabloboy pablo has influenced the music of Dreycruz, OM53, amanda jerlov and more.
