Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter Blake Rose serves up catchy songs imbued with uncommon emotional depth.
• Growing up in Perth, Rose began exploring music at age five. He played the Northern Australian instrument the didgeridoo before moving on to guitar at age 13.
• He describes his family as “nomadic” and has memories of singing along to Simple Plan, Eminem, and Coldplay on long road trips.
• Through regular busking as a teenager, Rose saved enough money to travel to Los Angeles after attending West Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
• In 2018, Rose released his debut single, “Hotel Room.”
• Rose dropped more singles in the years that followed, including “Lady” (2019), “Gone” (2020), and “Lost” (2021).
