“I want to make authentic music that makes someone feel a little less lonely,” Paresh Pahuja tells Apple Music. The singer-songwriter and actor has been doing exactly that since his very first single, “Dooron Dooron”, a tender ballad that resonates with anyone who has yearned for someone seemingly unattainable. The 2022 track was a sleeper hit, going viral in 2025 and reaching the Top 20 in India the next year. Pahuja, who is originally from Ahmedabad and counts AR Rahman, Coldplay, Kishore Kumar and Pritam among his favourite artists, was inspired by the success of Shah Rukh Khan to move to Mumbai and pursue his dream of becoming a singer and an actor. He’s one of the rare talents to have balanced both careers, switching between roles in films and web series—his credits include Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) and the second season of Bandish Bandits (2024)—and spending time in the studio and playing live. Storytelling is at the heart of everything he does, including his tours. His nationwide Voice Notes (2025) and Love Notes (2026) series of concerts incorporated elements of theatre into his performances.
