OKAMOTO’S is a genre-blending Japanese alternative rock band that’s had six consecutive Top 30 albums in Japan.
∙ Formed by four junior high school friends influenced by the Ramones, The Stooges, and MC5, OKAMOTO’S released their debut album, Here Are Okamoto’s, in 2009.
∙ The band’s self-titled 2013 LP, which featured the hit “Majime Ni Nattara Namida Ga Deruze,” was their first to reach the Top 30 of the Oricon Albums chart.
