Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was five, my family gathered at my parents’ home to weather a natural disaster. I grabbed a guitar and did an Elvis impression for my older brother, a musician. His laughter and pride made me fall in love with performing.

Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” showed me how fearless a singer could be. Wilco’s “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot” expanded my idea of alt-country, while Tom Waits’ “Mule Variations” pairs Tom's legendary voice and songwriting with beautifully inventive production.

“Can't Go Back”
I love “Can’t Go Back” because it sits in the uneasy space between grief and moving forward. It accepts that some losses never fully heal while recognizing that life keeps changing and asks us to move with it.
