About Primordial
Employing a compelling blend of doom and black metal with traditional Celtic music, Ireland's Primordial are an extreme metal band with a penchant for pairing sonic discord with huge swathes of melody. Since debuting in 1995, the band's pagan folk-metal has grown heavier and more idiosyncratic, culminating in the career highlights The Gathering Wilderness and The Nameless Dead, both of which saw the group adopting a more raw and spontaneous sound. The unabated intensity continued on albums like 2014's Where Greater Men Have Fallen, 2018's Exile Amongst the Ruins, and 2023's How It Ends.
