About Madison Beer
Next-generation R&B singer Madison Beer, born in 1999, launched her career on YouTube. As a teen, she became known for recording and sharing covers of her favorite artists, like Bruno Mars and Adele. When pop superstar Justin Bieber discovered her buoyant version of Etta James’ “At Last”—which Beer recorded when she was just 13—the world took notice, and she was signed to the same label as Bieber, Island Records.
Bieber appeared in the video for Beer’s 2013 debut single, the anthemic “Melodies,” and in the ensuing years she went on to collaborate with some of pop and hip-hop’s biggest names, including dance music stars Jax Jones and Martin Solveig, genre-bending duo Jack & Jack, and Migos member Offset. On her 2018 debut EP As She Pleases, Beer proved her versatility on tracks like the retro-tinged “Teenager in Love” and the jittery “Say It to My Face.” Later that year she lent her vocals to Evelynn on “POP/STARS,” the debut single by K/DA, a virtual K-pop girl group comprising characters from the online multiplayer video game League of Legends.
Beer landed at Epic Records in 2019. Her first full-length album Life Support dropped in 2021, while 2023 saw Beer pivoting away from the haunting R&B sound of her debut and towards the dreamy, cinematic pop playground of her sophomore effort Silence Between Songs.
Sultry, synth-heavy single “make you mine,” released in 2024, signposted a new direction for Beer, but it would take a full year—and the subtle encouragement of a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording—before she delivered on the promise of its hypnotic, club-ready sound with the propulsive electropop rush of “yes baby.” The ensuing album, locket, which arrived in early 2026, rewarded Beer’s willingness to experiment and evolve with her first Top 10 chart entry in the US.
Madison Beer has also released music as a member of K/DA.
