Although songwriter/producer Dave Stewart’s main claim to fame was as one half of the 1980s synthpop juggernaut Eurythmics, he has enjoyed a prolific music career both before and since, including a run in the Tourists, the early-‘80s folk-pop ensemble that featured the vocals of partner Annie Lennox. After the breakup of Eurythmics, Stewart tried his hand at film scoring, directing, and artist management, and made albums both solo and with the Spiritual Cowboys. In ’08 he toured the world with a 30-piece “rock orchestra,” playing symphonic versions of his best-known songs.
